The second largest city in Russia, located in the northwestern part of the country. Situated at the head of the Gulf of Finland, an arm of the Baltic Sea, it is also the country's largest port. It was the capital of Russia for two centuries, from 1712 until 1918. Dimitri lives in St. Petersburg, and some of the movie begins there. Even though St. Petersburg had a different name in 1926, they still called it St. Petersburg in the movie. Former name Petrograd 1914–1924 / Former name Leningrad 1924–1990.
