Albina, a wise Sage Woman more mystical than she is mundane, raised Katya after she was forced to flee from the once mighty estate of Moriz where she worked when the Imperial Police intruded. She taught the girl about nature, plants, and animals in the hopes of unleashing some of the anger still inside of Katya at the sudden loss of her parents and childhood. Albina slowly went blind over the years and is now completely dependent on Katya to guide her, though she still is able to pull a few magical tricks to everyone's amazment. She's caring and earthy, loving all of nature and things connected with it.
