| Celebrating the Portuguese culture in the Garlic Capital of the World (otherwise known as Gilroy), the I.F.D.E.S. has been very blessed with the support of the community. Even though you must be Portuguese (or married to someone of Portuguese decent) to be a member, everyone from any ethnic background are always welcome to attend our events. |

| Our Annual Holy Ghost Festival is always celebrated on the fifth Sunday after Easter. The festivities begin the fourth Sunday after Easter, and continue for the week. |
