Iglesia Filipina Independiente
Welcome to IFI Peacemakers.  This site is an archive of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente's official statements.

Peacemakers is an advocacy group pursuing the peace-building ministry of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente. It is inspired by the knowledge that God is the 'God of peace' (Heb 13.20), who has given us His Son, 'Christ, our peace'(Eph 2.14).

Peacemakers is committed to the vocation of the Church as a worker for peace. It believes that every Christian is a worker for peace, and thus must take the task of being peacemakers (Mt 5.9). Peacemakers believes that the Filipino people merit to live in a society built on the foundation of justice and peace.

Peace is always at the core of the ministry of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente. Born out of the Filipino people's struggle against colonialism and all forms of foreign domination and intervention, she is a proud bearer of the national democratic tradition of our people in the quest for peace that is based on justice.

The Iglesia Filipina Independiente lives-out this legacy by placing herself in the forefront of the Filipino people's pilgrimage towards the realization of just peace in the country.
