If They Only Knew

Paul groaned. Stupid phone. Stupid stupid thing was totally useless. No it wasn’t. It was only useless when you were in the middle of writing a song and it ‘s just going and going and

“Paul!” John snapped “Get it before I bash you over the head with me guitar.”

“Fine” he moaned, standing tortured for having to get up off the couch. “Who the fuck is ringing me. I swear if it’s another bird begging for me…”

“Say hello” John coached,

“Hello”

“Hi”

“George?”

“Yeah”

“What?”

“I’m bored come over an play guitar with me”

“No. You come over here”

There was a pause “No you lazy twit I’m waiting for Gab, you come over here”

“I’m lazy? You are”

“You are”

“You are”

“You are!”

“No, YOU!”

John sighed and got up to rip the phone from Paul’s hand “George. come over.”

“John”

“Yeah”

“Ok”

“Good”

John hung up the phone “Honestly, it’s like having a load of kids”

Paul stuck his tongue out but quickly put it away when John moved to grab it.

“George?”

He sighed and turned around “Yes, mum?”

His mother smiled and continued to dry the plate from where she was standing in the doorway “Where you headed, luv?”

“Paul’s” he shouldered his guitar and gave her a smile “When’s dinner?”

“Six, can I have a kiss?”

George rolled his eyes “Muuuuuum, come on”

“Oh” she laughed “Are you a big Rockstar now? Too big to give yer old mum a kiss?”

“No” he sighed and plodded over to her to kiss her cheek and then pull away. “Can I go?”

“Yes,” she kissed him on his cheek and rubbed the lipstick off “Be home by dinner and say hello to the lads”

He sighed “I will”

Gabrielle sighed as she came through her front gate. Abandoned. That’s what she was. Abandoned. No one loved her anymore. Cyn was gone, off to find a dress for her date with John. A date he would undoubtedly break. That ginger head bloke she sat next to in History of Art asked her out. She had a date now. Maybe she would wear that pink bridesmaids dress for a laugh.

“No on loves me” she mumbled and wiped a fake tear from her eye dramatically, she sighed loudly “I’m all alone”

The gate clicked shut behind her and Gabrielle put her hands on her hips sighing dramatically and surveying her house. Little stupid house attached to George’s house. Where was George right now anyway? What she really wanted to do was get pissed off her head and then… sadly the next thing she wanted to do after that included Paul.

“George!” She called, shaking her head and hopping the fence. “Georgie, porgie are you home?”

George’s mother stuck her head out the kitchen window instead “Hallo, Gabby” she laughed “How are you, luv”

“I’m all right, George home?”

Mrs. Harrison shook her head “Nope, just ran off to Paul’s a bit ago”

“Oh” Gabby nodded solemnly and started back for the fence “Ok, that’s too bad, tell him I was looking for him”

Louise smiled “Bored with life?”

Gabrielle laughed “Sommat like that”

“Ready for New York? That sounds exciting. I haven’t been able to talk to you about that”

Gabby must have looked surprised because she laughed ”Yer father told me, luv. He’s real proud of her he is. Even if he’ll miss you.”

“Yeah” Gabby sighed and came over to the window “D’you need help with anything?”

Louise laughed “Are you kidding? Like dinner, Gabby darling you don’t cook! If you just want to come in and shuffle about to talk I don’ mind”

“Ok” Gabby grinned. “Can I come in and shuffle about and talk?”

“Yes, front door’s open”

Gabrielle giggled and ran around to the front. She should have been born a Harrison. They were so.. *normal*. As opposed to her family. Torrid love affair that left her family-less on her mothers side. A barrage of Aunts on her fathers side. All of whom were mad and gossiped far to much. All of whom lived scattered across Liverpool. Well that was normal but the eccentric aristocracy obsessed Aunt was not. God. The aunt who was going to make her obscenely rich when she died. Oh let’s not think about that right now.

No, she had a mad family instead of Louise for a mother and George as a brother. That would have been nice. And besides that, Gabrielle Harrison had a nice ring to it.

She sighed. She was sighing far to much these days
