Welcome to the
Urban Forests, Wildlife and Biodiversity Webpage Tree loss is only part of the on-going, incremental loss of remnant indigenous vegetation in urban areas. The concentration on trees in this Group is not intended to imply that trees are more important than other indigenous plants. Trees are emphasised because, in some urban areas, they are the only remnants of original bush land vegetation and their future survival is very important.
This Webpage has been created to give a strong voice to all the people who are speaking for remnant canopy trees, biodiversity and the neighbourhood character of their area and, are not being heard, or their views valued. It is also to educate others as to how they can help the environment in their area.
