First of all, Thank you for visiting to my Ken Hirai site ^-^
This site called "Ken Hirai No Lakuen", Lakuen is taken
from Ken song which is mean "Paradise".
Introducing

Ken
Hirai is Japanese R&B singer who had really great &
strong voice. Ken become professional singer when he applied to
Sony Music Entertaiment Japan audition in 1992 called
"-Breath-" and he win a award as the finalist from
7,500 contestants (WOOOW!! is he great!?? Sugoi nee Ken san!!
^o^). Then in the next year he sign contract with Sony Records
and began career as an artist. In 1995 he perfomed national
concert for the first time in many city in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka,
and Fukuoka). Ken performed various music genres from Soul,
R&B, Jazz, and Hip Hop. In taking advantage of Japan promo
visit by Babyface, Ken performed "Change The World"
with the mentioned artist for the radio event and that's was a
great experience for him. In the world wide, Ken performed
"Amateur Night" at Apollo Theater in New York as a
guest artist and he was applaused by the local audience (of
course he great, tehehehe.). Ken 3rd Album "The Changing
Same" (released 21 June 2000) is bring him much luck, his
8th singles 'LAKuEN' (yes! this site titled) which released 5
months before, was created in collaboration for the first time
with another writers and composers (Japanese R&B goddess
'Toshinobu Kubota' also appear as Ken voice arranged and chorus
backing vocal in song called 'Unfit In Love'). Ken combination
mellow voice and melancholic tune gives him to get new era of
"New Millennium style of soul", along his single
(LAKuEN) he hit "ORICON" chart (ORICON is Japanese
version of Billboard), and suddenly he found himself in the
center of attention (COOOOOLL!). Ken made a first visit in Taiwan
in summer 2000 to join "MTV Taiwan Summer Festival",
Ken perfomed in front of 30,000 local audience, and "The
Changing Same" album was sold for 60,000 copies!!!
