PITTSBURGH DAILY: reports the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Florida Panthers are working on a blockbuster trade that would land Florida a premier centerman. Apparently FLD GM Mike has been scouting Pens superstar center Joe Thornton. The Pens want to improve their goaltending and Tomas Vokoun could do just that. There's a rumor on the streets that Pens would ship Joe Thornton, Manny Fernandez and Darryl Sydor to Florida for Tomas Vokoun, Thomas Vanek and Radek Dvorak.

PHILADELPHIA: according to an unnamed source, Philly GM Todd has been scouting the Pitsburgh Penguins for the past week. It is unknown who Philly is interested. A source say they are looking at a 5-6 defenseman or a 3-4th line forward.
