Top Five Time-Wasting Games

1. Try not to think about polar bears.
Amusement potential: 1 to 5 minutes.
This is especially hard, because by trying too hard you end up remembering what you were trying not to think of.  By trying too little you end up thinking about polar bears anyways.

2. See what's in your neighbor's trash.
Amusement potential: 20 to 30 minutes
Best to wear your spy gear for this one.  You can learn a lot about people by what they throw out.  You could uncover a dark secret, or something vauable that still works like a VCR.

3. Watch TV, repeat everything said in an Italian accent.
Amusement potential: 5 to 10 minutes.
Sort of amusing if you pretend the people are actually talking that way.

4. Pretend all humans will die except the people in the room with you.
Amusement potential: 10 to 20 minutes
What would you really do?  Would you stay together or divide?  Who would join which group?  Would there be a leader?  Remember, the power plants would run out of fuel in a matter of days.  Best to do with people you know.

5. Pick up a small dog so it can see things from your point of view.
Amusement potential: 5 to 7 minutes
Think about it- Fido has only seen the world from a viewpoint of 6" to 2' high ((15 to 60 cm for all you metric fans out there)).  He's never seen the tops of counters, what you keep on your shelves, etc.  Try looking at things from his point of view, too.
I still love water buffalos
