Some people wonder how I write,
I tell them I just put down what is in my mind,
What is in your mind.
What do you think about as you sit there at your desk,
Are you thinking about where you will eat lunch?
Do you think of your children at home, playing?
Do you think of world hunger and the donation you will make?
Does it matter what we think?
Is the person who worries about world hunger,
A better person then the one contemplating their lunch?
Should they be?
Does it mean the person who thinks about their children will spoil them?
Or are they overprotective?
When you see a man standing on a ledge ready to jump,
What would you think?
Do you think of his children, wife, mother?
Do you think of him and what must be in his mind?
Do you think of the other people watching?
Do you wonder how people fascinate on a man,
Falling to his death.
Do you wonder how it will effect these people in the future?
Will it make them want to jump?
Will it make them want to help people?
What makes people want to help people?
How will we ever know what is in someone else's head,
When we cannot even understand our own minds?
I Write
