Packing Information
Clothing
- Do not plan on packing 12 days of
clothing
- Pack enough clothing for a week at most
- Interchangeable clothing pieces and colors will
make this easier.
- Plan to do laundry while in
- Liquid laundry soap will work best, but make
sure you pack it in a zip lock bag to prevent leaks in the suitcase.
- Choose clothing that will air dry and will not
be too wrinkled. No irons.
- Wear an inexpensive watch, as you will need to
be on time. Cut back on wearing any
jewelry, and don’t wear any good jewelry.
Clothing Regulations

Girls,
Most of the Churches will not let you in if you are wearing shorts and/or
skirts that don’t cover the knee.
Sleeveless, low neckline, or spaghetti strapped shirts are also not
permitted. To assist with this, carry an
elastic waist skirt, and or cardigan that can fit into your purse or bag that
you can pull on quickly to enter any church.

Boys, No
Sagging Pants or Shorts, No Tank Tops.
Carry something along in your bag to throw on for entering a
church. Khakis work well, especially if
you have some that zip on parts at the knee.
Money
- Do not carry large amounts of cash while
traveling to and from
- For the trip to
- Please give tip money to your teacher/leader
prior to the trip. It is expected
that we pay $4-5 a day for our courier and $2-3 a day for the coach
driver. The tip is expected as part
of their pay. 10 days for the
courier and 3 days for the drive totals to at least $46. Please give this to your teacher before
the trip so he/she can convert it to Euros upon arrival.
Luggage
- Suitcases must weigh 44 pounds or less.
- If you want to have a water bottle during
flight, pack an empty water bottle and then fill it at a fountain after
passing through security. If you

- Camera film should be placed in carry-on luggage
as the equipment used for screening checked baggage will damage
undeveloped film. Travelers can ask for a hand inspection of all film and
camera equipment at the passenger checkpoint.
- All medication must be in their original
containers. If you know who your
roommates will be, consider dividing up the following items in your
suitcases.
o Pain Relievers
o Upset Stomach medication
o Sunburn remedies
o Motion Sickness Medication
o Band-Aids
o Cough Drops
o Safety Pins
o Sewing Kit
o Nail Clippers
How to Pack

Carry On Bag-
o Pack a change of clothing in your carry-on bag. Upon arrival in
o You are permitted to carry on a 1 quart sized plastic, zip-top bag holding 3 ounces or smaller containers of liquids or gels in your carryon luggage. Limit one zip-top bag per traveler.

Suitcase-
o Pack all liquids in your suitcase in Ziploc
bags. Air pressure affects liquids and
their containers. Even if lids are taped shut they can and will still
leak.
o Pack extra Ziploc bags for the trip home in case
something leaks on the trip over.
o Appliances- Most hotels have hair dryers and irons to
loan out. American appliances do not
work in
o Bring a few old towels/beach towels, as the ones
provided in
Packing List
