Christian Theology and Apologetic Resources on the Internet.

Christian Think Tank --- Unravelling Wittgensteins Net, The Christian Think Tank is a collection of articles written by the accidental inerrantist Glenn Miller. Many of the articles are written in response to questions Glenn has received. The sheer volume of material on this site is praiseworthy but we are also blessed with quality along with the quanitity. This is the best apologetics site on the internet that I have seen bar none. Hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of issues are discussed by Miller. You can even download the Tank to your computer and don't forget to check out the larger Studies and Syllabi. A brief 5 example sample of the diverse questions Glenn Miller addresses:

Bible Study Tools & the Bible Gateway --- At these two sites you will fine many different SEARCHABLE translations of the Bible ( NIV, KJV, NKJV, RSV, NAS, YLT, Darby, WE, NLT etc. in a variety of different languages!). You will find commentaries on the Bible: Darby's Synopsis, Geneva Study Bible, The Fourfold Gospel, and Gill's Exposition of the Bible to name a few. You will find Nave's Topical Concordance, Biblical dictionaries and encyclopedias, MANY writings from early church fathers (Polycarp, Tertullian Ignatius, Origin, Clement, Augustine and many more) . There is even a Hebrew and Greek Lexicon! it is a bit dateed but it is stull very useful if you are a beginner to Greek and hebrew and have no other Lexcions at your disposal. These two sites are invaluable. I use them both quite frequently

Tektonics Apologetics Ministries --- James Holding's (pseudonym) site features a lot of material. Its sort of a smaller Think Tank. In fact, Holding features some articles from Miller. You will also find articles from evangelicals like William Lane Craig and Edwin M. Yamauchi. Holding addresses a wide variety of subjects and the Rogues Gallery and Rogues Cemetery are Excellent. There is a lot of great material here and I highly recommend this site. My only objection is Holding and his sometimes slapstick style. After all, the medium tends to be the message.

Reasons to Believe --- I've read almost all of Hugh Ross' books. I have some issues with Ross' site but overall I am supportive of his ministry. My major disagreement with the site and Ross is over darwinian evolution. I align myself with the scientific consensus on the issue and accept evolution. His creation model is not compatible with darwinian theory and this is not a small "issue". The quarterly Facts For Faith Magazine is excellent and I recommend subscribing to it. There are also archives of Ross' radio show which "Spreads Light at the speed of sound."

Bede's Library ---This sites's self description should suffice: "Here you will find my writings on faith, science and philosophy as well as loads of annotated links and book reviews. The aim of the Library is show how a person of a scientific background came to Christianity and has had his faith strengthened rather than weakened by argument and reason. It is intended for other seekers who want to be Christians but need to know that they will not be asked to commit intellectual suicide to become one.

Metacrock's Virtual Office --- There is a ton of good material at Meta's site. His Doxa page is an excellent resource on the existence of God along with a host of other subjects. He also offers a critique of the mythicist Earl Doherty.

Peter Kreeft ---Online home of the popular Roman Catholic Philosopher Peter Kreeft. I absolutely adore Kreeft's writing style. Site has some good content. Check it out.

Leadership University ---This is a great site with a lot of articles on a lot of different subjects. You will also find debate transcriptips news, faculty offices etc.

The Virtual Office of William Lane Craig ---This is one of the offices from Leadership U linkied above. This page presents Dr. Craig's work as philosopher, theologian, writer and speaker. His Virtual Office has a great article section. If you need some info on Kalam and/or the existence of God and the historicity of the resurrection then go here.

Stand To Reason ---Many articles by Gregory Koukl. This is a nice apologetics site and though apologetically inclined, it features a lot more.

New Advent --- A Huge and invaluable Catholic Encyclopedia online with over 11,000 articles.

Index of Some Non-Canonical Gospels -- Examples woupld be the prote-Evangelium of James, Gospel of Thomas, Secret mart et al.

Here are 4 sites with large lists of responses to various proposed contradictions in the Bible. I am not endorsing all of their solutions and I actually think there are some contradictons in the Bible and I do not mean only copyist errors and other texutal corruptions. I have found that there are less than atheists think and usually more than Christians think but 90% of the alleged contradictions usually stem from poor exegesis.

Some Non-Christian resources that apologists should familiarize themselves with if they are in the habit of debating.

Early Christian Writings --- Peter Kirby has made a fine site filled with a lot of information. I'd definately check out his stuff on the Testimonium Flavianium and his page on the Historical Jesus theories.

The Jesus Puzzle--While Christ-mythicism is a fringe minority in scholarly circles it has a lot of prominence and is strongly held by amatuers on the internet. It would be useful for apologists to familiarize themselves with Earl Doherty's Jesus puzzle if they are going to be discussion or debating on the internet.

Internet Infidels---Huge Free thinking site with a large library of articles. There is also a large message board here. This site and its many papers with many arguments needs to be familiar to serious apologists on the internet.

Logical Fallacies

Secular Web (infidels.org) Has a logical fallacies site and another good size it the Nizkor project.
