Big Bear Lake, California
February 2002

Greetings,

I love to explore and discover the world around me.

I find the Big Bear Valley particularly amenable to that love.  Here, in Big Bear, I discover nature in an intimate way as I learn about the plants and trees and rocks and animals, their history and uses, past and present.

I do not understand how anyone can live
without one small place of enchantment to turn to.

~ Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings

For me, Big Bear Valley is that place of enchantment, a special -- and sacred -- place where the worries of the world seem to melt away and out pops out my inner child, fresh, innocent and excited about life.

My experiences with Nature are a source of immense strength and inspiration for me. Whenever I've felt lost or uncertain in the modern world, I turn to Big Bear Valley's natural and timeless beauty for clarity and renewal.  Here, I am able to step outside of difficult challenges to gain a new and more resourceful perspective.

Nature is simply something indispensable,
like air and light and water,
that we accept as necessary to living,
and the nearer we can get to it
the happier we are.
~ Louise Dickenson Rich

This site comes out of gratitude for this place I call home. Thank you for stopping by and allowing me to share a part of my world and a portion of myself with you:

May you seek a path closer to Nature.
