WELCOME TO THE PACK! This is my beginning of the year door! |
And my KID CREATED bulletin board! |
This picture shows a peek at Mrs. Dickens' Apple Orchard and my Farm. The Big Red Barn was next to the door and the door was a silo during September. Aren't the Farm Animals cute? They came from the TLC Farm book. |
I put my GIANT scarecrow on the door for October. A cornfield has "grown up" to the right of my door. The little orange boxes at the bottom of the picture are construction paper covered milk cartons with real pumpkin seeds planted in them. So, soon we'll have a real, live pumpkin patch as well! Those pesky footprint crows are just too cute! The eyes are made from sticky dots with a hole punched in them. (I get a lot of emails asking me what the eyes are made from.) The Indian Corn is another wonderful project from TLC. It came out of the Fall TLC book. |
The kids really love this Reindeer Tryouts bulletin board! And teachers enjoy the simplicity of the door decoration. Both of these were fun, quick, and EASY! Just what you NEED in December. |
Oh no! I shouldn't have had that hot chocolate! |
Love Is In The Air! |
Welcome to the Salt Marsh of the Georgia Coast! |
During our "Tour of Georgia" all the kids stopped by to visit me and Miss Bayko in Coastal Georgia. This mural of the Georgia Salt Marsh was made by all 11 of our Kindergarten and Readiness classes. The scene illustrates the environment beginning at the shoreline then moves inland toward the maritime forest. We've included plant life as well as Sea Gulls, Bluefish, Oysters, Ribbed Mussels, Hermit Crabs, Marsh Periwinkles, Blue crabs, Snowy Egrets, Mud Fiddler Crabs, Sand Fiddler Crabs, Great Blue Herons, Diamondback Terrapins, Wood Storks, and Raccoons. You can click on the picture for a closer view of each section of the mural. |
This cute "Wild & Woolly" bulletin board was an idea borrowed from Ms Pieczko's "Kinder-Garden." It's a great visual and the students are enjoying keeping track of the weather each day. At the end of the month we'll use the information on the big pictograph to create individual bar graphs. |
March Blows In ~ How's the Weather? |
It's SPRING!!!! |
To stamp the muddy footprints, I had the child make a fist and dipped the side of their hand in brown paint then pressed onto the bulletin board paper...this is the sole. The toes are made with their finger using little dots of paint. |
The caption reads: There are too many kids in the tub. There are too many elbows to scrub. I just washed a knee. Whose could it be? There are too many kids in the tub! |
Look Who Is GROWING Into First Grade! |
This photo doesn't really do the display justice. Yes, I reused the faces we made for the tub in April. At the end of the year we are sooooo busy! This was a super easy bulletin board! |
