Meet the Gypsies

Name: La Esmeralda

Physical Description: "She was not tall, but her slender lightsomeness made her appear so. Her complexion was dark, but one guessed that by daylight it would have the beautiful golden tint of Andalusian and Roman women. Background: Very few people know of her past. She often tries to keep her memories hidden to avoid showing any weakness. All that is known is she arrived is Paris several years ago with no possessions or family, aside from Djali, her pet goat and life-long companion.

Alignment: She considers herself to be on the side of good. However, many who believe Gypsies to be creatures of evil see her as such.

Birthdate: November 16. She is a scorpio, which would explain her tendency to be strong of character and a hard worker. Her sign is also significant of her secretiveness.

Occupation and/or Hobbies: Dancing is what La Esmeralda is known for, and it is what she loves to do. The fact that it can pay fairly well is, of course, a major influence.

Race: Though it is believed that she is Romani, her descent is not known for certain, even by herself.

Physical Description: Tall and sickly thin (we're talkin' bean pole), with dark gypsy skin and long, thick, coal black hair with short bangs parted in the middle (and the cutest little black eyed susan flower- tee hee!) I often describe myself as having large brown doe ayes and a huge grin. I wear a white cotton blouse that practically isn't there since it has no sleeves, no shoulders, and bares my midrift (and I mean ALL my midrift). I have a green skirt which continuously gets shorter as I need the material for other things, and golden bracelets on each wrist and ankle. in the winter I have combat boots and a crimson cloak that's redder than BLOOD!

Background: Oh, nothing special, unlike my comrades. Many of them have sad stories that are quite depressing. Mine's just boring, ya know? I have two parents, four brothers (one younger than me), and one younger sister. I was born, I grew up, and here I am! ::grin::

Alignment: Damn, If I'm not about the goodest person here I don't know who is! goodest.... is that a word? I don't think "best" is....

Birthdate: June 17th

Occupation and/or Hobbies: I'm a maid and housekeeper for hire. That's my trade, it keeps a vardo in my alley and bread on the table. My hobby is particularly weird. I collect pets. Right now I have so many, I don't know if I could name them all! But I think my favorite is a python named Kaa... but don't tell the cats, they may get jealous!
