Chapter eight: Come with me?

Eiko woke up, outside her body! She gasped, she floated above her body, looking down on it, and seeing Yu at her side. He, seemingly, was trying to wake her up.

Eiko blinked, the thought of Yu began to suck her back into her body at an alarming rate. She felt like she was being reborn into her own skin, her own flesh and blood had sprung to life once again.

She opened her eye quickly and drastically flew up into a sitting position.

Yu threw his arms around her back as she sat up towards him. Eiko blinked. Yu! It was Yu! She placed her arms about his neck and they held each other tightly.

A war cry sounded in there years and then, a splendid flash of light.

--slow motion--

Eiko held him tighter and closed her eyes as the screaming of Rose fell upon her and shocked her senses.

She ran fast. Too fast.

The sound of the dragon buster entering into the chest of another and the collapse of breath entered the ballistic atmosphere.

Blood seeped onto the blade and trickled through the crevices in the victim’s armor and into a puddle on the damp, dingy floor.

A heartbeat rose into play.

Lub-dub!

It was like a horror movie as the light danced the away and Yu’s mouth dropped and he looked away from the figure that had been pierced by the Dragonbuster, surprised, yet disgusted from the flow of the dark, crimson liquid.

Lub-dub!

Eiko opened her eyes, seeing that Lloyd pulled the Dragonbuster not out of Lavitz, but Rose!

--End of Slow motion--

Lloyd started to whisper something. A chant, a hymn, something that had made the ambiance change very severely. Nothing moved!

--paralyzed alternate universe--

Lloyd had set a spell on the area, a spell that set the movements of creatures to non-existence, until he had jumped out of the gaping window to his left. He walked away from his victim, staying put in midair, the blood droplets hanging within the space between her, the floor, and the air.

He could have killed Lavitz, Albert, even all of then.

Yet, he was only interested in one particular item, and one only. So the thought of more bloodshed did not roll of his tongue smoothly.

He stopped next to the king of Serdio, chained to the wall of the bloody prison. He stung his hand into his back, his fingers lingering, as if searching for something.

‘Aha!’ he told himself.

He pulled out a glowing, round orb. A moongem, yes.

He smiled evilly and walked towards the window, it’s mouth tearing a whole inside and out of the ghastly prison.

Eiko blinked.

Lloyd stopped, turned around, and stared blankly at her. He had heard her eyes hit the bottom lids and then the sound of her eyelashes brushing the air on the way up.

How had she been able to move? It was impossible, was it not? ‘Perhaps...perhaps not,’ he thought to himself.

He walked towards her, the rest of the world staying still.

She gulped. Oh no! What had she done?!

Suddenly, she felt the warm breath of Yu’s on her neck!

She was not alone!

Yu didn’t breathe anymore, or atleast tried not to. And he stayed perfectly still, now that Eiko knew that he was unparalyzed as well.

Lloyd, quite astonished walked to her side and gazed at her. She tried to stay as still as Yu, but she didn’t have much luck.

He noticed every small, slight movement and touched her arm that extended around Yu’s neck.

Instantly, she had morphed into her espial form. Ah, but how?

Lloyd’s eyes widened. “You’re an Espial......one of the highest liege......the white....” he whispered softly.

Eiko closed her eyes. Was he going to kill her too, right there, right now?! She didn’t know and felt extremely insecure.

Lloyd narrowed his eyes and continued gazing, then asked, “Will you come with me?”

Eiko was stunned, she opened her eyes and uncomprehendingly stared up at him. “What?....” her tone was soft and unknowing.

Lloyd smiled and his eyes turned soft as he gazed at the white espial that fixed her eyes on him as well, “Will you come with me?”

It hit Eiko, not as hard as before, but still greatly. She had a flow of mixed emotions fly into her insides. Should she go with him? Should she not? He was handsome.....quite handsome she told herself. But, she did love another. She hardly knew him, his very existence was foreign to her.

Lloyd looked at her questioningly.

Eiko gulped and said softly, “I’m not evil........”

Lloyd cocked his head to the side and gazed into her eyes again, smiling, “Nor am I...”

Eiko’s eyes widened, ‘What to say now? what to do?’ she felt a rush of fear hot it her veins.

Lloyd stroked her cheek and took her hand with the other, lifting her up, away from Yu and the ground. “Please, come with me...?”

Eiko took a deep breath, “I-I.....”

“HIYAAA!” Yu sprung up, the oblivion over his head, ready to strike. He brought it down and Lloyd, confused looked at Eiko then made for the window. He leapt out and away.

Yu looked at her and they exchanged stares.

Eiko sighed, more comfortable now. The world still paralyzed, she laid her head on his shoulder.

He gazed at her, wondering what she would’ve said if he had not interrupted. He did so, worried that she would say yes and leave him, or that Lloyd would take her away from him, forever.

Eiko, feeling his essence of emotion looked up, into his eyes, “Yu...?” She could feel his thoughts. Not hear them like Setsuna, but feel them, mind you.

Their eyes locked, neither of them saying nothing and she removed her cheek from his shoulder.

Yu swallowed hard and looked away.

Eiko blinked and stared at the ground, “I’m not quite sure what I would’ve said either....but thanks for defending me....”

Yu looked up to her, his lower lip moving a bit from horror. He swallowed again and said, “Well....” He stopped short, not sure what to say.

Eiko sighed to herself and stared into a random direction.

Her eyes bulged.

A black tattoo was on Yu’s arm, hidden by his sleeve. The markings she saw appeared to be that of a sign of an obit. Only they had them!

Omni: OOSH! We have double twists!!!!! tis a twixt bar!!!

Meru: ....

Lloyd: ....I’m not dead!!! mweehee!

Omni: ....

Meru: *cries* I’m offa the intro and outro!!!!

Omni: It was, as I explained, only a one time thing.....

Meru: I know....*cries and sniffs some more* BUT I WANNA DO IT!!!!!!

Omni: well......if I kill Lloyd off, you can be on.....

Meru: YAY!!! *dances away*

Lloyd: Oo

Omni: .....end.....
