Chapter fourteen: Obit Theory

Yu felt completely empty inside. His mind whirled around with thoughts of Eiko. Should he go through his plan now, or wait a little more? He couldn’t wait. It maybe to late if he waited.

But, where had Lloyd taken her?

Now he hit the sharp end of the rock. Endiness was too big to find her in his lifetime, well, Eiko’s anyway. This would certainly pose as a big threat.

Arios and Tatsumi still shed tears. And Lumiale--Yes! That’s right! Lumiale had become the Cyan Espial!

Yu stood upright and stared at the group’s newest espial. They would have had four if Eiko was still present.

Setsuna glanced over at Lumiale, “Well, it appears that you have become the cyan espial, Lumiale.......being an espial with your comprehension of things would come easily to you, information wise......”

Lumiale nodded and looked down at Shana whom smiled up at him.

Yu glimpsed Setsuna. Surely she would know. She had the ability to read and speak in other’s minds. She could’ve heard what Lloyd was thinking! “...Setsuna....”

            She gave him her attention.

“Do you know where Lloyd has taken Eiko.

Tell me

what do you see

I think I’ve lost

my mind

Setsuna’s eyes widened and she stared at her feet, “Well.....I haven’t the slightest....my telepathy had been used to Lloyd’s advantage to talk to Eiko.....somehow he manipulated my powers into doing what he needed to until he had burst out of the prison gates and wherever he had gone.....”

Albert shot up, “I know where he has taken her!”

Everyone’s heads jerked into Albert’s direction.

“Well, are you going to tell us, or are we just going to freaking stand here?!” Yu glared at him.

“I heard talk from the guards passing by.....that Lloyd worked for Emperor Doel......” Albert’s eyes lay upon the direction in which Doel inhabited.

“Where does he reside at....?” Yu lifted an angry eyebrow.

            “Kazas......the black castle...” Albert replied.

Yu’s eyes widened. Eiko had been taken to the black castle. Kazas. How could Lloyd put her to the threat of such things? Certainly, he would protect her....would he not? He didn’t have the slightest. Maybe his hypothesized intention of Lloyd had been dead wrong. Or was it? Yu sighed. “Alright, get ready......we’re headed for Kazas.....” Yu picked up his Oblivion and set off to the right of Hellena.

My burning Darkness

As you can see

It haunts myself

And eats me inside

Tell me

what do you see

I think I’ve lost

my mind

“The freak died an made you boss?!” Arios bolted upright and clenched his fists.

“You want to save her right?!” Yu turned around an narrowed his eyes at him.

            Arios glared at him.

Then, to Arios’s horror, Yu sprouted black wings and a marking on his right cheek became visible, as well as the tattoo on his arm.

Arios jumped back terrified with alarm as Yu’s gleaming red eyes changing to a voided black. His eyes felt like daggers boring a hole through his skin and piercing what was left behind.

“Well....” Yu looked at the rest of the group. “Does anyone else want to question why I’m leading....?”

Dead silence struck the atmosphere. Even the crickets didn’t chirp their monotonous screeches, afraid of the obit that Yu had become and was.

“No?.....then let’s go...” Yu turned back around and trudged off again.

My insides

They’re burned black

How can you

love such an evil?

Tell me

what do you see

I think I’ve lost

my mind

Scared out of their minds of whether or not they’d loose their lives, they followed, faltering in their steps.

Setsuna wasn’t as frightened as the others however. She kept in her thoughts, “No wonder why I couldn’t read his mind! The Obit inside of him shrouded his thoughts so that no one could read it! Why in the world didn’t I think of that before?!”

            The group struggled on.

Yet, it took only minutes for another unexpected event.

Yu felt something. He felt darkness. Like the darkness that had enveloped around him and had made him what he was today. That darkness is what he felt. And his insides burned from the feeling.

He lifted his head to the sky. The feeling came from above him.

The grey clouds that circled about Hellena began to clear quickly, exposing the blue tainted sky. The clouds cleared so fast, it looked like they were being rushed.

Yu stopped his footsteps. So did the others.

Momentarily, a black figure had appeared with a liver of silver in front of it. It dropped through the clouds to earth and broke through the air in the atmosphere.

Yu blinked the figure looked much like him, obit wise. Black features and black wings appeared on the figure.

The sliver of silver shined bright and it was a young man with a blade turned upright. He was falling directly in line with Yu! His sword aimed at Yu.

As the obit-like swordsman dropped to the ground, Yu jumped to the side at the last moment. The young man had dug into the ground with his blade and made about a three to four foot deep impression in the ground.

Yu’s eyes widened. He had the obit marking on his cheek and the same tattoo as him. The young man was an obit. The group gasped. Two obits in the same place, in the same time frame, in such a fate.

The young man stood up and smirked. The sword he had claimed for himself was about as tall as his chest and he set the tip to the ground an rested on the enormous hilt. It had many huge letters engraved and wrapped around it [like it was part of the blade, and it was] in it. The letters spelled, ‘Flyhyde’  and it had white wings outstretched from the hilt. It was a Flyblade, only three existed in all of creation.

The darkness

it entangles my soul

it cries

to be set free

Tell me

what do you see

I think I’ve lost

my mind

Suddenly, the man changed form from an bit to apparently what was his original self. Mahogany hair, and eyes as blue as the sky appeared as the blackness evaporated away from him. His smirk grew greater, “I see you are faster now, Yu....”

Yu glared at him, “What do you want....”

“Ah, you know, I’m sent here to help you out.....”

            “Like you can.....”

“I know that you know that you need help.....sides SOA sent me......he knows that you know that we know that you know that you need help....”

“Will you shut up with the know crap.......of course I know......I wasn’t expecting you to be sent anyhow......I wasn’t expecting anyone to be sent at all....I can handle this.....”

“Like freak you can....” He adjusted the flyblade under his arm and he draped his anterior end over it. “Anywho....you just can’t storm into there.......and me and you both know that we know it takes two obits to do a successful teleport from here to there, because we can’t sneak up on them if we just walk up to the gate...”

“You two can teleport....?” Setsuna’s eyes rounded themselves.

“Yes....but if there’s only one......it’s only an individual thing....if two, three , or four, we can teleport an unlimited amount of people to a nearby place.....if five......” Yu trailed off. He did not want to finish his sentence.

“The evil inside us goes berserk and we end up destroy whatever’s in our path.....we don’t really need to care about teleporting then....heh...” Daisuke ended for him.

Setsuna gulped. Could Obits truly destroy such things like so? Does the evil manipulate them into some sort of puddy that molds with darkness?

I’d love with a love

and die for you

but the evil’d kill me

before I got to you

Tell me

what do you see

I think I’ve lost

my mind

Yu swallowed hard. The darkness he did not want to confront would certainly do so.

“So.....are we going to teleport these people, or are you just going to stand there....?....” The other obit stood in wonder.

Tatsumi blinked and stepped up to the plate, “Wait a minute....now before you teleport me anywhere.....I’m going to have to know who the freak you are......and why SOA sent you or whatever....”

“Daisuke....Daisuke Kugami......how and why SOA sent me here is none of your business.....” Daisuke grinned and threw his flyblade into a large scabbard that slung behind his back. The outline  of him etched into darkness and he had become an obit again. The blackness enveloping himself.

Tatsumi gulped. What did he mean by SOA sent him and he couldn’t tell her?

Wait-a-minute, the only ones allowed flyblades were the top-class of seraphs that served SOA. And, this Daisuke character had a flyblade. HE was an ANGEL! Tatsumi looked up at him and he smiled, knowing that she knew what he knew himself to be.

Setsuna read Tatsumi’s mind and was surprised as well.

Daisuke closed his eyes and chanted something. As did Yu. It was some sort of old language. Back in the past, maybe what obits had spoke before their time. Or the demons that they were.

Instantly, A ring of light with odd markings around it shown bright and zipped around each and everyone. The next moment, they were all gone.

As I fall

All I can see

is your face

And now, I continue to fall

Tell me

what do you see

I think I’ve lost

my mind

Yah, I know I had declared this to be a bit more boring, but I kinda got some more ideas to pop into my head...so that’s why we happen to have a more lively chapter.....still boring though......

Next: What happens when they have been teleported there? Can Yu save Eiko, or will he loose her forever?....
