---Story begins---

It was nighttime and the LOD cast and Tatsumi, Arios, Yu, Daisuke, and Setsuna drifted to sleep. They lay between brambles and on branches of old or new trees. Some roots formed makeshift pillows and some were persistently poking agitations.

Eiko hadn’t fallen asleep yet, he eyelids to dark to float dreams. She stared up at the sky through a clearing of trees, trying to count the numerous balls of light overhead. It was atleast ten o clock and she was quite glad they had stopped traveling. She was too tired to drift into a dizzy slumber and too tired to wake anyone up to talk to.

It seemed that the more she stared up at the stars, the whiter her surroundings became, as if they fell to the earth, too fast to see and crowed her with a white essence of serenity. She sighed, her eyes felt heavy, so heavy and her hair had fallen in her face through her eyes. The blue streaks glowing in the iridescent light of the stars and what of around her.

Suddenly, she was floating on clouds....and in her Espial Form. She looked down at her body, the white glow she noticed as much as she had the first time she had become an Espial. That long time ago when she had touched the markings on a piece of miscellaneous pottery that crowded the shelves of the merchant homes of Lohan.

The traditional white stripes of clothing frisked her body and down her legs and her arms as she examined it all as if it had been the first time.

She felt a presence behind her and whirled around, nervously and stood up. It was the young appearance, platinum haired wingly. Lloyd. At the name her heart raced. At his presence her stomach fluttered in pace with it. She had begun to breathe hard for a minute, nervous beyond wits. He reached out his hand and twitched his fingers as a beckoning.

For a moment, Eiko was furiously anxious of whether or not to take his hand or not. She took a deep breath and took his hand, she was so light on her feet that she’d fallen into his arms. She looked up, a little embarrassed. But, Lloyd only smiled at her newly found crimson pigment.

He stroked her cheek and sent a stream of butterflies down her throat and she could feel her knees wanting to buckle. Why was she so nervous? This is what she wanted wasn’t it?

She tried to ask him something along the lines of the questions in her head but no sound came out. It was like a silent film of old movie rest stops. He put a finger to her lips and gazed into her eyes. The simple gesture sent her stomach in a fit of a  wild emotion of longing pain.

His arms grew tighter on her back and the reverse side of her head. his forehead bent down and touched her’s. Electricity had begun shooting between their eyes, his saying only, ‘I love you’. The words formed softly on his eyes and the became bright with happiness.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and spoke with her eyes saying ‘I love you’ as well. He smiled greatly and closed his eyes. She gulped. She could feel it coming and closed her eyes. He leaned in the few inches between them and planted his lips on her’s, taking his fingers through her oceanic hair. Eiko’s heart raced wildly, and she felt like screaming from rooftops that Lloyd was kissing her at this moment. He was kissing her! The silent Bishounen that they were looking for turned up and had replaced the air around her lips with his! It seemed almost unimaginable!

Thinking it all too good to be true, she felt herself beginning to fall, but Lloyd’s grasp and his wild lips continued to taste hers. She felt something in her wings that didn’t seem right and she backed off from the passionate kissing. She shrugged off Lloyd’s hold and examined her wings. Feathers were falling out and she looked up, afraid of what was going to happen next.

Suddenly, she fell through the mist of clouds and through the dawn streaked sky. Lloyd flew after her, his hand outstretched. He also looked to be yelling, but it was as if you could hear absolutely nothing of noise of any sort. She raised her hand to meet his, but he never really got close enough to clamp his hand on hers.

Still falling through the sky, feathers ripped themselves out of her wings as she fell to earth. She wanted to scream, but she couldn’t bring any sound at all to force itself out of her mouth.

Something like astral projection hit her, she could see a her body on the ground below! She was going to land back into her body! But, how had she gotten out? If she did at all.

About a two feet from her body, Lloyd caught up with her, wrapping his arms around her body, kissing her for the last time as her body reabsorbed her into it.

She sat up with a start, breathing heavily. She had been in the same place that she had started, but what had just happened?

She had been up in the clouds with Lloyd. Expressing their love, if it was existent at all.

But wait!

Had it been a dream? It seemed so real. So close to reality. He had held her tightly before she had collided with her body, and nowhere he was in sight. What had really happened was a question she asked herself.

An arc of the sun shown itself on the early morning horizon. And she stared up at the clouds as she did stars.

She thought she saw Lloyd flying up there for a moment and she blinked and he was gone. Had he really been there? Or was it another dream, if the other was as well?

Momentarily, a feather floated down into her lap. It was not of her espial form, but that of Lloyd’s real wingly wings. She gasped and looked up at the sky, seeing nothing but yellow streaks and pink clouds forming themselves as the morning dew.

She sighed and laid down. Falling asleep with a smile on her face.
