| Type: APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) Armor: Medium Weapons: Five 10-millimeter guns, and 3 rockets (not really!) FEATURES: 1. 3 “firing” guns (the top ones that move a bit) 2. 2 guns (the bottom ones) that are really the activators for 2 touch sensors 3. Realistic Vehicle look This robot is called Quake because it shakes as it moves along. The 3 “firing” guns are really axles that turn around. This was achieved by placing 5 nine-tooth gears on the inside of a beam and sticking 3 axles (axles look a lot like guns!) through 3 of the gears. The other 2 gears were for spacing. The 2 guns on the bottom can be pushed in which activate different touch sensors. I made the APC look like it had windows by placing 3 bricks down the middle of the front. I went through 3-4 different designs of treads before I found one I liked. The completed design uses 6 gears a tread. |
