They would rather go on living their SELF-INDUCED life and continue in their SINFUL ways without the reminder of one day they will have to be accountable for all of them. They forget that one day when they least expect it, they will take their lae day when they least expect it, they will take their last breath on earth and when they open their eyes they will be in the torment of flames and all alone with just the distant screams of others who have so foolishly rejected God's FREE, I said FREE Gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ. The ten Commandments are not a list of things to do to get to heaven, oh no, people are mistaken because no man alive is able to keep them the bible says, for that's why Jesus had to die. He was God and man and because He was God-man he was able to live sinless and be the only one to take our place and die to redeem us from the curse of the Law (Commandments). You see, the Commandments were given to show us how holy God is and how far we are from ever being able to please God. They were given ONLY to show us our sinful state and to lead us to God for salvation. If there was any way we could keep the law perfectly then Christ wouldn't have had to die. Salvation is free through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Once a person knows that they are a sinner and that there's NO WAY to save themselves from the curse of sin which is death and hell, then they see the grace of God. They see that even while they were steeped in sin that God still loved them enough to come down and die in their place because He seen we were lost and helpless. That person then, because of the grace and love of God, calls on the name of God (Jesus Christ) which means Jehovah our Messiah, and humble themselves to God in repentance for their past sins and ask God to forgive them. They acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord and that He died for their sins on the cross at took all their sins on Himself. Then God sees their repentive heart and renews their heart by His Spirit which He gives them to empower them to live a life pleasing and acceptable to God and to give them strength to NOT Sin no more and the power to turn from sin and thus their lives are producing fruits of love for their fellow man and each day they are conformed to be like Christ. There's NO religion involved, no ritualistic works, no money involved. It was man who turned the grace of God into a religion, not God. No where in God's word does it say Christianity is a religion. A religion is man's own attempt to do works to please God which he is NEVER able to do, but Christianity is a relationship restored through faith in Christ Jesus that was separated once by SIN. The Christian life is each day living to please God by just two things, and that is loving the Lord God with all our heart, soul and strength and then loving our fellow man as ourselves. When God saves us then we are empowered by His Spirit to do those two things and thus fulfill the whole law. We live by faith each day knowing God is in us and will never leave us. The self-life is no more and we look to be a blessing to others while waiting for the day Christ returns and forever we will be with our Lord on a new earth that will never end where no more death, sorrow, sickness, hurt, nor sin exists. But those who reject God's word and ridicule the Gospel of grace because they either are embarrassed of Jesus because of what others might think, or they just rather live and enjoy their short lives without God while staying in their sinful state. or those who even try to think away God out of existence, These people will find that they themselves, who rejected their ONLY hope of salvation from sin, will eternally have to pay for their own sins in a place that wasn't even created for them. Hell and the Lake of Fire were prepared for Satan and the other created angels who brought sin and destruction and pride into God's creation. But God created that place for punishment for sin and God's word says, "All souls are mine. The soul that sins shall surely die." So the Ten Commandments were given to lead us to God not to hurt us nor to make us slaves to some religion. Life is so short and quick God's word says in James and like a vapor, it is gone. But eternal life is a life and world without end nor death. I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
