Special Touches & Creative Ideas
No matter what style of wedding you choose, it is your day and should reflect the personal taste of the bride and groom.
It is a hectic magical time of memories and some of these creative ideas will add touches that will give your wedding guests special memories as well.
Church pew decorations add a very special touch.  String pretty flowers together with a needle and thread and hang them on the sides of the church pews or where you sign the register.
Simple posies for the bridal party will save you money.  Put chosen flowers together to form a small posy and wrap parafilm florist's tape tightly around the stems.

Use organza, chiffon, or soft net, in a colour to suit the flowers or your theme.
Wrap this tightly around the stems then tie into a bow, or leave hanging loose for great effect.
Hand tied bouquets are less intricate, so less expensive, and look fresh and natural, especially if your have a garden or outdoor wedding.
Are your bridesmaids all different sizes, shapes and personalities?  Perhaps you could supply them with material and ask them to have their outfit made to their liking and style.
Little packets of bird seeds in clear cellophane
are a great alternative to messy confetti, and the birds will love it!

Another idea is for give guests small bottles of bubble-blowing liquid and have them blow bubbles at the wedding party.
Florist suppliers sell small plastic phials.  Thin wire twisted into a loop at both ends can be  inserted into a phial filled with detergent,  bath gel, or special bubble liquid.
Decorate the phials with paint. Make available for all guests.
Add some colour to your ceremony by lining the steps or walkaway with some potted plants - like pansies, daisies or other cheerful flowers.

Be escorted down the aisle by your mother, or go by yourself, or even have your groom meet you halfway.
Instead of giving all attendants  the same thankyou gift, choose individual gifts that match the tastes and personalities of your attendants.
At the reception venue, have some photographs on display - perhaps from babyhood to present time of both the bride and the groom.
This can be a talking point for guests while you are away having your photos taken.
A guest book will let your guests write something special to the couple on the day of the wedding.
Make an inexpensive ring-bound book extra nice as a guest-book, by gluing an inspirational card or picture on the cover.
This can be placed on a table, for your guests, while you are having photos taken, too.
Instead of bomboniere or place tags on the reception tables try something different.
Lean towards, perhaps, some tiny photo frames, engraved wine glass, personalised wedding chocolates.
Another idea is the place a small packet of seeds into a vallum envelope as a thankyou and place-name for guests.  They take them when they leave and plant the seeds as a reminder of your special day.
Little silver-painted terracotta pots filled with mondo grass or an aloe vera plant can be used as name place-settings.  Guests can take them home as a memento.
As a table decoration, use some Gilded Rosemary - it is the herb of faithfulness.
Make your own ..     you need
*sprigs of fresh rosemary picked no more than 48 hours before the wedding
* gold ribbons    * 1 can of gold spray paint  * old newspaper

Arrange sprigs on newspaper; spray one side with gold paint, let dry, then do the other side.  Finally, tie each branch with dangling gold ribbons.
These days Brides can feel free to make a speech  or propose  a Toast, as well as the Groom.  Thank anyone who helped to make your wedding day special.
