Season 1 Episode 11
The Ferengi leader, the Nagus, arrives on the space station to start up profitable enterprises in the Gamma Quadrant. But he is ailing and cannot continue as the Nagus, calls a meeting and chooses Quark to be his successor instead of the others who consider themselves more worthy of the title. Thus, Quark is suddenly named leader of the Ferengi financial empire, and discovers that he's not only popular -- he's now a target for death. When Odo and Sisko try to help locate the potential assassin, Quark refuses their assistance and soon finds himself trapped in an airlock.
