Season 1 Episode 12
A visitor to the station from the Gamma quadrant by the name of Kroden tries to rob Quark and the Myridons twin, who are trying to fence a valuable item. The robbery attempt is foiled by Odo who takes Kroden prisoner but not before one of the Myridons is killed. While in custody, Kroden tells Odo that he's encountered other shape-shifters in the Gamma Quadrant and a strange necklace he wears may hold the key to Odo's past. An alien criminal from the other side of the wormhole tempts Odo by telling the shape-shifter he can arrange for him to be in contact with others like himself. After an unproductive contact with the Alien's race, Sisko reluctantly agrees to return him without holding a trial for the murder he committed on the station. Assigned to transport the criminal back to his homeworld, Odo discovers that his case is not as clear-cut as it appeared, and that the brother of the murdered man is in hot pursuit.
