Season 6 Episode 23
Plot Summary: Grand Nagus Zek is deposed thanks to his new female rights amendment. If he doesn't gain support in three days, Brunt will become the new nagus. Zek, along with Quark, Rom, Ishka, and Nog attempt to get Ferengi officials to meet with them, but only one agrees. He is Nilva the owner of Sludge-O-Cola. Nilva expects to meet with Ishka. He needs to see a profit- wise Ferengi female. Before they can meet, however, Ishka has a heart attack that stops her from making the meeting. Zek knows that a smart Ferengi female is needed to convince Nilva to help him, and since there are none around he volunteers Quark to dress in drag and be their woman. Ouark is upset but knows that if he doesn't do this Ferengi society is doomed. Through a whole load of stupid scenes he/she convinces Nilva to help Zek.
Sub-Plot: None
My Opinion: How the heck did this moronically stupid idea get chosen to be an episode!!!??? Not only was this episode mind-numbingly boring, it was unbelievably awful! There was absolutely nothing good about this episode! It was full of bad jokes and dumb scenes, it's plot had large flaws, and (if that isn't enough to ruin it) it had Quark in drag (AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!). More thoughts:
- - If Nilva's allegiance to Zek was determined by falling in love with Lumba (Quark in drag), then why did he still join Zek after Lumba left him?
- - "Sludge-O-Cola?" Did anyone else find this as stupid as I did?
- -I lied earlier. There was one pretty good scene in it: Quark hugging Odo. But even that couldn't save this monstrosity.
If these reviews weren't rated G, I would use more expressive language, but because of that rating, my final statement concerning this episode is: It stank worse than my cat's litter box!
Wrap-Up: "Profit and Lace" was not only the worst episode of the season, it was the episode of DS9 ever! Please, spare yourself the anxiety, and don't see it! I give it no stars.
