Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Resurrection

Season 6 Episode 8

Plot Summary: The alternate Bareil, from the mirror universe, comes to DS9. The intendment planned on having him steal the orb of prophecy and change. However, an orb experience and Kira change his mind.

Sub-Plot: None

My Opinion: This was fine. There was nothing very bad about it, but there wasn't much good about it either. Perhaps it's biggest flaw is how straight-forward and predictable the plot was. The whole story line just led up to the inevitable ending scene, which wasn't all that great either. On a brighter note, the idea was good, the acting was good, and there were some enjoyable moments. My favorite moment was the dinner scene in Dax and Worf's quarters. The look on Worf's face when he saw that Bareil had stolen his sword was great. The episode itself probably would have been better if there had been more fun scenes like this. A sub-plot could have been nice too.

Wrap-Up: "Resurrection" wasn't bad, but it wasn't very good either. It had enjoyable moments, and good acting, but the plot was predictable and slightly dull. It gets two stars.
