All I have is You
Bakura stayed up all night watching Ryou sleep. His little
fingers twitched as he periodically moaned in his sleep. The yami pulled the
blankets over the sleeping boy clutching him closer. Bakura breathed in Ryou's
cologne and the apple shampoo from his last bathing still hovered around him.
Bakura raised his head when the door opened. Ryou remained
limp in his arms like a doll. Malik and Marik entered both carrying teacups.
Marik's pity for the other yami was chiseled on his face. Malik's countenance
struggled to smile at the other couple in the bed.
"How is he this morning, Bakura? Is he still
asleep?"
Bakura brushed Ryou's hair aside. "Yeah.
He's out cold."
Marik offered the teacup to Bakura. "You have to
drink something." Bakura sat up in the bed and sighed into the hot chai
tea. He stirred it solemnly as he watched Malik put Ryou's cup on the table
beside the bed. Ryou whimpered in his sleep and moved closer to Bakura.
"Bakura…."
"I'm here, Ryou. I'm here." Bakura rubbed Ryou's
back with his left hand. Malik gripped onto Ryou's shoulder lightly and the boy
continued to whimper.
"Let me go……….Bakura……Cinetti…."
Bakura put his tea on the table beside his side of the bed
and pulled Ryou into his arms.
Ryou arched his back. "No…Cinetti…..Please."
"Ryou? Wake up. " Bakura gently shook Ryou who opened his eyes quickly.
Hovering above him was Malik and Marik. Ryou looked up into Bakura's eyes and
quickly wrapped his arms around his yami.
"I'm here, Ryou. What did Cinetti do to you?"
Ryou buried his face into Bakura's neck and kissed it.
"I…don't want to make you angry."
"I'm sure you did nothing wrong, Ryou. What did
Cinetti do to you?"
Ryou gripped onto Bakura. "He…..his son grabbed me
from behind as I was coming home from school, yami. He drove me to his home and
forced me into the basement." Bakura rubbed Ryou's hair as his temper
grew.
"I know this hurts, Ryou. What next?"
"Jessica forced me to kiss her and she made me….made
me….made he touch her!" Ryou's cry echoed through the room. Bakura wanted
nothing more than to run to Cinetti and beat the crap out of him. How dare he
touch what is his! Jessica would have to be a target, too. Right now, Ryou was
his concern.
Bakura turned to Marik. "Was his father even here to
see him?"
"Yes he was, although he seemed more intent on
blaming you for Ryou being sick and dragging him out of bed than anything
else."
Bakura sighed.
Bakura's POV
His father blamed me for this? For Ryou being sick? Steven
probably sent Cinetti after Ryou just like he sent Jessica to us. Blamed me? I
didn't make Ryou sick. That devil Cinetti did! Gradually Ryou calmed down in my
arms as I held him. Blamed me, did he? I don't regret loving Ryou. Not at all. I don't want to see him harmed and it hurts to
see the one you love lying in your arms looking so feverish. If Steven didn't
catch me sleeping with Ryou, then this would never have happened…..or maybe it
was an accident waiting to happen. I wanted to love him some more, but in his
condition, it would hurt him even more.
I wanted to comfort him, but I couldn't find the words. I
wanted to help him, but nothing I could say would help. The relationship
between father and son was hanging by a thread and had threatened to be completely
broken because of me.
"Ryou's dad told him to come home," Malik said
to me as he sat on the other side of Ryou rubbing his back along with me.
Ryou POV
As I held onto Bakura, my father's voice still rang
through my head. Bakura didn't make me sick. None of this is his fault. I still
loved my father even though he tried to force me out of bed with a fever. He
wants me to go home with him. After all we've been through,
maybe we owe it to each other to try to rebuild this relationship. Maybe he listened
to me when I asked him how he felt about my mother when they met.
I love Bakura like he loved my mother. Why must gender
make a difference? Isn't love….love? What difference is it if I love Bakura as
long as I love him and remain faithful to him? Love is blind, and according to
my father's ignorance, love is also deaf.
Bakura is to blame? No. I wanted to repair the
relationship with my father desperately. After all, he fed me (even though he
couldn't cook if his life depended on it) and clothed me when I was a child.
I held onto Bakura even tighter not wanting to let him go.
I love him so much and all I want is what's best for him.
Normal POV
"Bakura?" Ryou tried to
sit up in the bed and did so with Malik's help.
"What is it, Ryou?" Bakura took his tea and
stirred it.
"I….I want to go home."
Bakura, Malik, and Marik's jaws dropped together. They
weren't expecting this.
"Why? You saw how he treated you, Ryou," Marik
said angrily.
"Are you sure that is wise?" Malik questioned.
Ryou sighed and took his own teacup from the table next to
him. "I want to make peace with my father. I owe it to him to try one last
time."
Bakura sighed and sipped his tea. Malik joined Marik at
the other side of the bed so he could face Ryou.
"I'm not sure this is a wise decision, Ryou,"
Malik said uneasily.
Bakura put his hand up into the air to stop Malik's
objection. Bakura looked Ryou in the eyes. "Are you certain you want
this?"
Ryou sighed and nodded again. "I owe it to my mother
to try. My mother doesn't want me to fight him.
I love her. I don't want to make her sad; I want to make
her happy. The only way I can do that is to make peace with my father."
Marik grunted and growled. "Ryou, if you go back to
him, he'll kill you! He doesn't love you at all! Not like we do!"
Ryou shot a glance up at Marik and Malik. Malik elbowed
Marik. "You can't keep a secret, can't you, Marik?"
Ryou put down his cup. "Are you two saying
………you……love me too?" Bakura and Ryou shot them questioning glances.
"Well, Ryou….you should know. You have a right to
know. Bakura and I were also lovers back in
"You're right, Malik. Marik can't keep a
secret."
Ryou managed a little smile. "I never knew, Malik.
Why didn't you tell me before?"
Malik rubbed the back of his head blushing
a beet red now. "Well, I didn't know how or when to tell you, Ryou."
"I have to go back to my dad. Hopefully, we can all
make this bitterness go away."
Bakura put down his cup and hugged Ryou tightly. "As long as it makes you happy, Ryou." Bakura
sighed sadly. "You know, your father blames me for everything. If I'm at
your home while you try to improve your relationship, you'll never get anywhere.
Maybe it's best that…….I go home with Malik and Marik."
Ryou nodded and bit into his lover's shoulder crying into
it. "I guess that's the way it has to be until I can improve my
relationship with my dad. When he finally calms down, you can move back
in."
Marik put his arms around his own teary hikari.
"It won't be a long time, Ryou. I promise I will come
by every day to see you. You can always call me at Marik's house."
Ryou's mouth left Bakura's and was placed on his yami's.
Tears filled both of their eyes.
"I finally got you back, yami. I finally got you back
and now you have to leave me again. I love you, yami."
"Don't worry, my angel. I
will be back every day. I've missed you so much, Ryou. Nothing will ever
separate us. Nothing will tear us apart. I promise. I love you," Bakura
kissed Ryou's
forehead. "
my little hikari. I love you deeper than the deepest love. I would move
the mountains and the stars if it means being in your arms. If I could draw
your
portrait with the stars, the
stars could not do your beauty justice."
"I love you more than anything else in the world,
yami. I love you more than words can say, but…I have to try to work things out
with my dad. Yes he has done some horrible things, but I owe it to try one last
time."
They gathered each other in their arms bathing the other
in their tears. Marik gathered his hikari in his arms watching the other couple
embrace.
Ryou looked up at Bakura's red face from his tears. Ryou
kissed one tear away. "One last time, Bakura. One last time."
Ryou brought Bakura down for a kiss and they breathed in
deeply. Bakura broke the kiss first and caressed Bakura's cheek. "My dark angel."
Bakura and Ryou dressed and took Seto's limo back to
Ryou's house.
Ryou timidly knocked on the door. Bakura remained leaning
against the car. Steven opened up the door and father and son locked stares.
Ryou extended his open arms towards his father as a single tear fell down his
face. "Daddy?"
