813. LAWRENCE WEED (7/21/1916-9/11/2000) and GENEVIEVE FLETCHER WEED. You may read more about GENNEVIEVE FLETCHER and her family on the JOHN WORDEN family page. Just follow the link at the bottom of the page. I am the youngest of four boys. I was brought up in East Smithfield, Pennsylvania.

I went to SRU schools and started working at the East Smithfield Cheese Plant, then on to Zimmer Truck Caps, International Homes, and finally for Craftmaster Corporation, which used to be Masonite Corporation, in 1973. I am a tow motor mechanic there. I like hunting, working on cars, carpentry, Dodge trucks, and Jeeps. I am a member of the Towanda Gun Club and the Towanda Rifle and Pistol Club. I have also been a elder for the Wysox Presbyterian Church. In my spare time I am restoring a 1957 Dodge wrecker. This takes a lot of my time. I will try to post pictures as it progresses.

My Dad was a farmer and a mechanic. In his early years LAWRENCE was at the CCC Camp in Laquin, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was held at the Gerald W. Vickery Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 W. Main St., Troy, Pennsylvania, on September 15, 2000. Rev. Harry Ferguson officiated and internment was in the Union Cemetery, East Smithfield, Pennsylvania. My father's parents were 81. MURRAY WEED and ELVIRA SMITH. Besides LAWRENCE they had two daughter's:

811. Gertrude Weed Brown.

812. Dortha Weed Collins.
MURRAY WEED was a farmer also.

My brothers are Larry, David and Joseph.

8131. Larry John Weed (b. 1948) is married to Florence West and they have four children:

81311. Tina Weed. She has two daughters. She married ? Pickett and then divorced.

81312. Stacy Weed

81313. Noel Weed. He has a daughter.

81814. Jessica Weed. She teaches in Wisconsin.
Larry works for Cornell in Laceyville, PA.

8132. David Gale Weed (b. 1950) is married to Violet West and they have three children:

81321. Anne Marie Weed. Anne married Matthew Carlsen on March 31, 2007. They have two sons:

813211. Gregory Matthew Carlsen, born in 1997.

813212. Spencer David Carlsen (died at birth, March 7, 2006). He died at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Matt is a farmer and Ann works at the Bradford County Manor.

81322. Michael Weed. Michael works for Mills Pride in Sayre, Pennsylvania. He married Renee in September of 2003.

81323. Susan Lynn Weed. Susan is a married to Anthony Colavito and they have two children:

813231. Tony Ryan (B. 10/11/1995).

813232. Matthew (B. 1999). David owns and operates Dave's Body Shop and Garage in East Smithfield, Pennsylvania.

8133. Joseph Dale Weed (b. 1951) is married to Frances Szczech. Frances is the daughter of Joseph Szczech (deceased) and Josephine V. Mundy (4/4/1918-5/13/2001). Joe and Frances have two children:

81331. Teresa Marie Weed who just graduated from Bloomsbug University with a degree in Elementary Education and is now working for the preschool at St. Agnes School in Towanda, Pennsylvania and was married on May 16, 1998 to Tim Adams. Teresa and Tim have two children:

813311. Gracie Adams.

813312. Evan Joseph Adams.

81332. Kevin Weed graduated from Lock Haven University in the spring of (2004). He is now working on his PHD at Marywood College in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Joe works at St. Agnes School in Towanda and Frances works for St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira, New York.

I have been married to my wife (CATHY EDDY WEED) since September of 1975, and there is never a dull moment when she is around. I have one daughter,

81341. ASHLEY who is a 2007 graduate of Penn State University. She is now working on her MBA and works for Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.
