        23. Valentine Werkheiser (9/14/1788-2/16/1858) married Sarah Messinger (1/21/1792-1/1/1869) on November 25, 1810. Sarah is the daughter of George and Catherine Messinger. They resided in Forks Township. Valentine and Sarah are buried in the Forks Cemetery. Valentine and Sarah had fourteen children:

        233. Mary Anne Werkheiser (1/5/1815-1889) married Jacob Uhler (1810-1855) and then Charles Mohn. Jacob is the son of Henry and Hannah Hahn Uhler. Jacob is buried in the Farmersville Cemetery.

        235. Salome/Sarah (1/7/1818-1/27/1904) married Charles Knecht (2/10/1814-8/8/1877). Charles is the son of John Geroge and Sarah Willauer Knecht. They are buried in the Forks Cemetery.

        237. Peter Werkheiser (11/25/1823-11/18/1895) married Sophia Messinger (5/1825-1911) by the Rev. D. Kuntz. They are buried in the Forks Cemetery. They had one child:
        2371. Franklin Werkheiser (8/12/1856-1933) married Ida Derhammer (1861-1892) and then Ellen Berger (1873-1938). Franklin and Ida had seven children:

        23713. Stephen Werkheiser (1884-1958) married Carrie M. Kessler (1885-1954). They are buried in the Forks Cemetery.
        On July 1, 1889, Stephen Werkheiser, who lives in Forks Township, was waylaid and attacked between nine and ten on Saturday night. He had been sitting in his stocking feet on his porch, then took a short walk, his custom before retiring. He was pounced upon by an individual he recognized as one who would do him bodily harm because of ill feeling between the two. Blows were exchanged. Werkheiser emerged victorious. The villian made his escape, but is well known, and will be apprehended. Stephen and Carrie have ten children:
        237131. Warren F. Werkheiser married Ada Mohr on September 20, 1941 in the Forks Church at Stockertown, Pennsylvania. Ada is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Mohr. Warren and Ada retired from farming and operating the Werkheiser Insurance Agency. They are members of the Hope Lutheran Church of Tatamy. They have four children:

        239. Abraham Werkheiser (twin, 2/4/1826-10/16/1890) married Catharine Sandt (6/25/1830-5/21/1893). Catharine is the daughter of Jonas and Elizabeth Sandt. They are buried in the Forks Cemetery. They had two children:
