Bilingualism means different things to different people.
Most of the printed material relates to bilingual education.
Others think about bicultural education. Children are helped to feel comfortable in their parents' culture as well as in the culture of their adoptive country.
This website relates to those issues in a superficial manner. Our niche is the bilingual family.
True, the culture is an important part of any language. We believe that children will select and learn those features of the culture that they choose. It is necessary to focus on a particular aspect of any issue, and we choose to focus on the linguistic aspect. The goal is not to make children fall in love with both cultures.
