Background

It is amazing how much progress the world has made in less than 6,000 years, and how people conceptualize things in different ways. It is even more amazing that each of these concepts can be multiplied by the number of languages. Each language may cause people to understand similar concepts differently. Thus, to some degree, the concepts represented in the world can be multiplied by the number of languages. That figure will not be accurate, but it can indicate the multitide of concepts in G-d's world.

Thus, a person who wants to experience the beauties of G-d's world can tour foreign countries, meet with people from other locations, eat foods from different locations, or see structures that were designed by different architects.

These experiences can be brought together through language. The different languages in G-d's world are understandable to the local people. Those living in other cultures may have difficulty understanding concepts, terms, and words, because of the differences in the languages. This is why they cannot express themselves as well to each other. It's more than the accent.

As the parent of bilingual children, you bring a second culture into the family. Whether your child actually visits the secondary country is not very relevant. In his mind's eye a real bilingual child can express the concepts from another language, country, or locale, in a way that will broaden his experiences. The child who then visits the country that communicates with the secondary language can understand it more completely than one who is not familiar with that language.
