Minority Language

In the method presented in this website, the minority language is the focus.

To clarify - the minority language is not the local language that you hear when you walk out of the door of your home.

Parents should speak to their children only in the minority language.

If you cannot speak to the children exclusively in the minority language, then you can compromise by speaking that language a specific number of hours every day.

The various methods in this section, such as the signs, should also be used only in the minority language. Again - and this cannot be repeated enough times, the children should be able to learn the local (majority) language anyway, so there's no reason to overwhelm them with that language as well.
