Social workers who visit your home for any reason (possibly relating to other children) may register their disapproval of your efforts to raise a bilingual child.
These social workers have no training in bilingualism and may not understand its benefits. However, when they view their job in its most limited manner, they may find issues that will make their own job more difficult when dealing with bilingual children.
