MINIATURE HORSES
We breed top bloodlines with honesty and integrity and have refined horses which have style, grace and movement. We offer family raised, reasonably priced miniature horses to good homes. Our horses are loved & handled on a daily basis and extremely friendly and affectionate. They are highly intelligent and easy to train. At this time, we are focusing on breeding for the very small athletic, gentle & correct miniature horse.
One of our herd sires is Ultra Awesome, a gorgeous 31.5" buckskin with dark points and Bond bloodlines. He is siring beautiful, refined foals with outstanding conformation; and mostly fillies! He has a wonderful disposition that he passes on to his offspring.
Our other herd sire is Windfall Farms Thomas Jefferson, a 28.25" grey stallion with quality bloodlines and personality plus. You can see their pedigrees on our stallions page.

MHR's Buttons & Bows is a gentle 31.25" sorrell pinto mare who is a wonderful mother. Sweet Dream is a gentle, friendly, 30.25" dark buckskin filly with dark points & black mane & tail just like her sire. Rainbow Ridges Majestic Dancer is a gorgous 32" sorrel Boone's Little Buckeroo granddaughter.
We also have a National Champion driving gelding, MHR's Stormin' Norman and his identical looking half brother MHR's Whiz Kid. MHR's Stormin' Norman when shown by a previous owner took it all in halter, supreme halter and driving.
We have been raising minis since 1997 & have learned much about their care, breeding & training. All of our minis are regularly vaccinated, wormed & trimmed. They are handled daily, gentle & are a pleasure to own.
We are located in Shiocton, Wisconsin; near Appleton & Green Bay in the Fox Valley area. Riverway Farm is operated by the Garvey Family. Shiocton has a population of approx. 906. Our farm is a piece of heaven situated approx. 20 minutes from Appleton & Green Bay. The Wolf River is nearby across the field. In the spring and fall, the sounds of geese and ducks migrating can be heard overhead. The sounds of sandhill cranes is abundant. Nature abounds plenty in this area as deer and fox can be seen in the fields. When you drive in, you will be greeted by the nicker of our miniature horses.
In the morning and sometimes in the evening, the silvery presence of country mist seems to slowly envelope our property & a peace settles over all. As our four legged family play in the backyard, I am reminded that it is the little things in life that give us so much pleasure!
