Breeze Barton is a native of an alternate Earth. (It was a future Earth when the story was written; now it's merely an alternate Earth.) Breeze is an American who is part of the world war against the Axis. In 1945 Breeze discovers a Japanese army staging a surprise attack in South Africa. Breeze attempts to fly to London to warn the Allied powers, but is shot down over the Sahara Desert. In the heart of the Sahara Breeze discovers the "Miracle City," which exists in a sub-dimension and which has been in isolation for 12,000 years--no one's found the City before now and no one inside the City has been able to discover a way out of the City. Breeze, with his new girlfriend Anne (the daughter of Chief Scientist Zanoba of the Miracle City), finds a way out, but in the process is thrown forward 50 years. Now in 1995 he and Anne discover that the world is in ruins and that the last remnants of society are holding out against the attacking barbarian hordes. Breeze and Anne use their weapons and skills to kill the barbarians, and they vow to help the other survivors rebuild society. And there Breeze's story ends, in mid-episode. He has no superpowers, but is rather an ordinary guy who fights well and has a jetpack and a ray-gun.
