WEEK 5 RECAP

In Week 5 play, FRANKLIN remained undefeated with a 27-13 decision over FOXBORO at Pisini Field. Panther RB Matt Carini rushed for 182 yards and two TD's, while also connecting on an 82 yard halfback option with WR Brian Garvey for the 5-0 Panthers. The Warriors dipped to 3-2 with the defeat. KING PHILIP remained perfect as well, whitewashing CANTON 31-0 at Macktaz Field. Three different Warriors found the end zone on the ground, while Brandon Howard passed for a fourth score. MANSFIELD downed SHARON 48-13 at Alumni Field, building a 35-7 advantage at the half. Hornet QB Nik Busharis lofted 3 TD passes and Shawn Doherty ran in for two scores to pace the Hornets. Brad Asnes ran for one score and received for another to lead the Eagles offense. NORTH ATTLEBORO rolled to a 46-0 win over OLIVER AMES at Community Field, with Brett Mastropoll finding the end zone twice, and Rocketeer QB Joe Kummer rushing for one score and throwing for a second. STOUGHTON had the non-league game, and they lost 35-14 on the road at Somerville. Highlander RB Joe Guzman rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns, while the Black Knights scored both of their TD's through the air, as Will McNamara threw scoring strikes to Alex Fernandez and Matt Green.

Next week, North Attleboro travels to Franklin, Foxboro hits the road to Stoughton, Mansfield plays at Oliver Ames, Sharon visits Canton, and King Philip will see non-league action as they head to Fairhaven.
