GERALD STANLEY DOYLE
Gerald Stanley Doyle as born on September 26, 1892, to Captain Thomas and Margaret Doyle of King’s Cove, Bonavista Bay. Around 1902, the Doyle family moved to St. John’s, where Gerald finished school and apprenticed as a druggist with M. F. Wadden on Water Street.
In 1919, Gerald began to distribute patent medicines for the Dr. Chase Medicine Co. In 1929, Gerald incorporated his business activities under the name of Gerald S. Doyle Limited. Doyle died on July 12, 1956.
