SUNRISE, FL -- Kristian Huselius scored with under nine minutes left in
regulation to help the Florida Panthers earn a 3-3 tie with the Philadelphia
Flyers on Wednesday. With his team down 3-2, Huselius took a pass from Eric
Beaudoin and beat goaltender Robert Esche for his second goal in as many games.
Juraj Kolnik had a goal, giving him four tallies and five points in his last
five games for Florida, which finished January with a mark of 5-5-2-1. Roberto
Luongo made double-digit saves in each regulation period, turned aside six
shots in overtime and finished with 44 saves in the tie, giving him a mark of
5-5-3 when facing 40 or more shots. Esche, who surrendered two goals on seven
third-period shots, made 22 saves in the tie. Joni Pitkanen registered a season-
high two goals for Philadelphia, which allowed three goals for the first time
in its last seven games.
