BOSTON, MA -- Glen Murray scored early in overtime to give the Boston Bruins a
3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday. Murray beat goaltender
Robert Esche for an unassisted marker 1:21 into the extra session for his
seventh game-winning tally of the season. Andy Hilbert chipped in with his
second goal in nine games since being recalled from Providence of the AHL and
Andrew Raycroft halted a personal three-game winless skid by making 26 saves
for Boston, which notched three goals for the first time in its last four
games. Esche, who made his first start since February 2, made double-digit
saves between the second and third periods but was unable to stop the only shot
he faced in overtime. Mark Recchi netted his team-leading 23rd goal and Alexei
Zhamnov extended his point-scoring streak to three games with a marker for
Philadelphia, which suffered its first overtime loss since January 8.
