PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Martin Prusek stopped a season-high 39 shots as the Ottawa
Senators downed the Philadelphia Flyers, 3-1, on Friday. Prusek turned aside
28 of the 29 shots he faced between the second and third periods and helped
shut down three Philadelphia power plays en rout to the win, raising his
record to 16-5-3. Zdeno Chara had a goal and an assist for Ottawa, which has
won three straight and is unbeaten over its last five. Robert Esche, who
dropped his third decision in as many starts, made 16 saves in the loss.
Michal Handzus tallied his third goal in his last four games for the Flyers,
who have lost three of their last four.
