ANAHEIM, CA -- Rob Niedermayer scored early in overtime to lead the Mighty
Ducks of Anaheim past the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-3, on Wednesday. After Tony
Amonte tied the score at 3-3 with one second remaining in regulation for
Philadelphia, Niedermayer put a feed from Steve Rucchin past goaltender Robert
Esche to give his team consecutive victories for the first time this year.
Rucchin added an assist, Petr Sykora had a goal and an assist and
Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 32 shots for Anaheim. Amonte and Jeremy Roenick
each finished with a goal and an assist for the Flyers, who play seven out of
the next nine games at home. Esche ended with 25 saves in defeat.
