RALEIGH, NC -- Kevin Weekes turned aside a season-high 41 shots to help the
Carolina Hurricanes earn a 2-2 tie with the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.
Weekes stopped all 21 shots he faced in the second period and made five saves
in the extra session to preserve the tie. Jeff O'Neil and Niclas Wallin each
scored with under 10 minutes remaining in regulation for even the score at 2-2
for Carolina, which tied for the second time in as many games against
Philadelphia. Simon Gagne had a goal and an assist in the third period for the
Flyers, who had their six-game winning streak snapped. Jeff Hackett recorded 24
saves in the tie for Philadelphia.
