BOSTON, MA -- Jeff Hackett made 38 saves for the Philadelphia Flyers in a 1-1
tie with the Boston Bruins on Saturday. Hackett, who extended his unbeaten
streak to eight games, stopped double-digit shots in both the first and third
periods and registered three saves in overtime to preserve the tie. Mark Recchi
netted his team-leading 12th goal for Philadelphia, which was held to one goal
or less for just the fourth time this year. Sergei Samsonov broke a personal
11-game goal-scoring drought with a power-play marker in the first period for
Boston, which had its home winless skid extended to four games. Andrew Raycroft
had 22 saves in the tie for the Bruins.
