MONTREAL, QUE -- Marcus Ragnarsson and John LeClair each scored late in the
third period to lift the Philadelphia Flyers over the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2,
on Monday. Ragnarsson evened the score at 2-2 with his first goal since
November 8 and LeClair netted his second game-winner in his last three games
with 73 seconds left in regulation to complete the scoring. Kim Johnsson
tallied early in the final stanza to even the score at 1-1 for Philadelphia,
which improved to 7-2 in one-goal games this year. Jeff Hackett made double-
digit saves in each period and finished with 36 stops for the win, allowing
two goals or less in nine consecutive starts. Mathieu Garon surrendered three
goals on 13 third-period shots, ending with 28 saves in defeat. Richard Zednik
and Pierre Dagenais each scored for Montreal, which lost for just the third
time in 17 games when scoring first.
