PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Martin Brodeur recorded his league-leading seventh shutout
for the New Jersey Devils in a 2-0 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on
Saturday. Brodeur, made 32 saves in the game, stopped double-digit shots in
both the second and third periods and shut down three Philadelphia power plays
to help raise his record to 16-5-6. Grant Marshall and Michael Rupp each had a
goal for New Jersey, which has taken four of its last five. Jeff Hackett
surrendered two goals on 22 shots in defeat for the Flyers, who have now gone
three games without a victory for the first time since October 25.
