PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Dean McAmmond scored in both the third period and overtime
to help the Calgary Flames edge the Philadelphia Flyers, 3-2, on Tuesday.
McAmmond evened the score at 2-2 midway through the final stanza and netted his
fourth game-winner of the season 3:33 into the extra session. Jarome Iginla
added a goal and Miikka Kiprusoff stopped a season-high 35 shots for Calgary,
which has won six of its last eight. Jeff Hackett, making his sixth consecutive
start, surrendered three goals on 26 shots in defeat, dropping his record to
1-2-3 since December 6. Jeremy Roenick and John LeClair each scored for
Philadelphia, which had its winless skid extended to four games.
