Dear Santa,

Even though I have a job, every cent I bring home is budgeted to bills and basic necessities. I'm going to try to give my boys the best Christmas I can, but with things the way they are now (and now looking like they will be for quite a while) financially, it's looking more and more like there will be no presents from Santa, let alone a tree to leave them under. This is the first year my oldest , now 5, really gets Christmas and his little brother , 3 (almost 4), is catching on to the excitement. It would break my heart if there were no Christmas magic for them this year.
I'm so proud of my little guys because they are so grateful and appreciative, and they both have such kind and generous souls. Just a few weeks ago they willingly and happily went through their toys and donated a large portion of them to charity because they felt sad for the boys and girls who don't have any toys at all. They were insistent that they share whatever they could and though they didn't have much, they were happy to give. I was fighting back tears of joy and pride as they handed the bags of toys over to the surprised woman at the charity.
These boys are the light of my life - despite everything they are the two most loving and happy little angels anyone could ever hope for. My only Christmas wish is that they each have just one present to open on Christmas morning. is my little intellectual - he loves books and toys that he can build with. He has a set of Lego's that he'll spend hours putting together and taking apart. His eyes lit up when he got to play with some Lincoln Logs at his doctor's office and I'm sure would love something like that and spend countless hours building to his little heart's content. He's also a big fan of pirates (of course he's always the captain!) and absolutely loves puzzles of any kind. my youngest is my imagination machine. His little mind goes a mile a minute coming up with stories and make believe. He loves anything to do with fire engines - he'll sit in his room all day and come up with fantastic stories about firemen and their daring heroics. He also really likes cars, trucks, airplanes, helicopters - pretty much anything that goes! He's definately a "snails and puppy dog tails little boy! Both of my little guys love playing outdoors as much as they can and love any kind of outdoor toy they can bounce around or chase!
Really, when it comes right down to it, both the boys would be immensely grateful for anything at all, and I can't tell you what it would mean to me to know that they will have a Christmas. These are the kind of kids where as I watch them sleep at night, my hope for humanity is renewed. Please, help me give my precious little boys just one present. Thank you. |
