Blaze is an extremely popular red climber from the thirties.  So many folks across America have this reliable rose stretched out magnificently on a fence, climbing a trellis, or gracing an arbor.  My mom and Dad grew theirs on trellises on the south side of the garage for several years.  A retirement move forced them to give up this famous rose.  Now, after so many years, my mom will grow it again.
Bright red, double blooms, mildly scented, cover healthy canes that produce an abundant first flush.  Repeat bloom occurs in bursts throughout the summer and into the fall.  Blaze is a vigorous rose, but not voracious.  An easy climber to grow in Michigan.
