     It was the stunning catalog photo of "By Appointment,"
an English Legend rose from Harkness, that captured my mom's attention, but Heirloom Roses' write up on this rose is just as captivating.  Described as a rose of
"sublime elegance," one has only to look at "By Appointment" to see that this is true.  Some of the English Legend Roses are being exclusively introduced to the United States by Heirloom Old Garden Roses
      Soft, apricot to buff roses show off delicately ruffled petals, the center of the blossoms being more intensely colored than the outer edges.  Dark green, disease-resistant foliage creates the perfect foil for the exquisite roses.  The shrub grows to 4 feet and is always blooming.
      "By Appointment" will look lovely in our new patio garden growing close to "Polka," "Sweet Dream," and "Pat Austin."
