Darlow's Enigma

Breeder:  Unknown

Parentage:  Unknown

Introduced into commerce by
Heirloom Old Garden Roses

Class:  Shrub

Color:  White

Size:  5-? feet

Zone:  Hardy

I first saw this rose while exploring Cheryl Netter's rose website.  It is a lovely white shrub rose that sports many small single roses.  It blooms all summer and is quite hardy.  A reputation for being disease-free makes this perky rose even more appealing.
I have a baby Darlow's Enigma and hope to see some real growth next summer.  When it outgrows its current location I will move it somewhere it can take center stage, as it is an attractive shrub throughout the growing season.
Mike Darcy's Garden Reference Guide features an interesting
article outlining a bit of Darlow's unique history.
