Double Delight

This rose is my mom's all-time favorite.  She grew this rose in her suburban Michigan garden for several years before moving to South Carolina.  Now that she's back in Michigan I am pleased that she will be able to enjoy our Double Delight shrub (a favorite of our daughter too).  I remember the colorful 35mm close-ups my dad took of this rose.  Each blossom was unique.  The lovely colors of raspberry-red and cream blended together to make a "delight-"ful picture!  On some roses the cream ripens to a pale yellow.  The fragrance emanating from this superb rose is rich, spicy, and captivating.  The roses last long on the bush as well as in the vase.
Double Delight won the All-American Rose Selection Award in 1977 after its introduction by American breeders Swim & Ellis.  It has remained a favorite among rose gardeners since that time.
Plant Double Delight under a window or near your deck or door where you can enjoy its rare beauty and lovely fragrance.  It's sure to become one of your favorites also!
